TruePro App — Privacy Policy

The TruePro app is a single app that works with independently-operated local TruePro platforms — today TruePro South Africa and TruePro UK. The first screen in the app asks which country you're in; from that point on, your account is held on that platform. This policy covers what applies generally, wherever TruePro operates, followed by the specifics that differ by law from one country to the next.

What the app collects

This is true wherever TruePro operates:

• Account and verification data — your name, contact details and, if you're a pro, the identity document and business details used to verify you
• Job and service data — job descriptions, the approximate location needed to match you with local pros, and any photos you choose to add to a job
• Messages and notifications — messages sent through the platform, and a device push-notification token so we can alert you about job updates
• Financial data — where you enable TruePro's payment protection for a job, the details needed to process that payment

Why we collect it

To operate the platform, match you with local pros, verify identities, process protected payments where that feature is enabled, prevent fraud, and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Security

We apply industry-standard security measures, including encrypted storage, access controls, and TLS encryption in transit. Identity documents and selfies are stored securely and are only accessible to authorised staff for verification purposes.

Your rights

Wherever you're based, you generally have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention requirements for financial records), object to how it's processed, and complain to your local data protection regulator.
